PROMISING PEAR ELITES IN LISAVENKO RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF HORTICULTURE FOR SIBERIA

Abstract

Characteristics and evaluation of pear elites bred at Lisavenko Research Institute of Horticulture for Siberia is given. The studies were carried out in the southern part of Western Siberia. The objects were 7 pear elites and 1 variety as a control. The aim of the research was to make a comparative evaluation of the perspective selected pear forms. An elite form 0-69-925 (named ‘Matushka’) with yield 6.4 t/ha was revealed and is on government trial since 2016.
