THE BIOCHEMICAL COMPOSITION OF BERRIES OF STRAWBERRY ELITE FORMS

Abstract

Biochemical composition of four elite form of garden strawberry bred in North-East Agricultural Research Institute was studied under conditions of Kirov region. It was established significant influence of weather conditions of ripening stage of berries on level of ascorbic acid content, total content of titrated acids, dry matter, and sum of sugars (V ≥ 10%). Elite forms having increased content of ascorbic acid (> 70,0 mg%): 3-61 (72,14 mg%) and 3-60 (70,87 mg%) were revealed.
