Frost hardiness of the root system of 6 promising clone rootstocks for pears of breeding program of the All-Russian Research Institute of Fruit Crops Breeding (32A-1-9; 32A-1-24; 32A-1- 26; 32A-1-29; 32A-1-30; 32A-1-35), quince seedlings and pear seedlings were estimated by artifi cial freezing method. The results of the estimation are presented. Plants grown in container culture were kept exposed to frost 12 °C below zero. Damage degree of the root system depended both on the genotype and root thickness. Root systems in quince and pear seedlings were damaged by 70-90 % (from 3 to 4,75 points) after keeping exposed to frost. It was determined that the least damages were in 32A-1-24 (3,25 points). Quince seedlings and 32A-1-26; 32A-1-29; 32A-1-30; 32A-1-35 immaterially differed from the control - pear seedlings. Roots of 32A-1-9 were more damaged than the root system of the control (4,63 points). High regeneration ability of the root system was noted in all quince genotypes.

Abstract
The influence of very low temperatures (-183…-185 °С) on the viability of apple-tree pollen, cuttings of plum and apricot is analyzed. The effect of concentration of sucrose on pollen germination of the Bolotovskoye apple cultivar is shown: the optimum concentrations are 10 and 15 % of sucrose. Рollen germinated in the dark demonstrates viability 1,5-2 times higher than in the light. After cryopreservation under ultra-low temperatures the viability of pollen was 36,4 %. The viability of plum cuttings after storage in liquid nitrogen was in the range from 43,4 ± 3,8 % to 66,7± 3,3 % depending on the variety. Grafted cuttings of apricot after storage in nitrogen vapor showed almost the same survival rate - from 53,3±8,81 % to 70,0±15,3 %.

Abstract
At the All-Russian Research Institute of Fruit Crop Breeding a group of red currant varieties have been studied for genetic determination of berry color. Varieties Jonkheer van Tets, Maarses Prominent and Shedraya homogenous by dominant gene Rc that controls red color of berries have been picked out. The breeding of these varieties with other varieties in the progeny will give seedlings with red berries. The most part of the studied varieties displayed heterozygosis by this gene. The crossings of such varieties between each other and with white colored varieties will allow obtaining seedlings with red and white fruit. White colored currant varieties are mainly a homozygote by recessive allele rc .

The meiosis during microsporogenesis was studied in apple tetraploid №32. A number of types of disorders varied at different stages of meiosis from 1 to 4. The greatest percent of disorders was noted during metaphase-II (22,9 %) and tetrad stage (20,0 %). Two large nuclei instead of four nuclei of normal size were observed during telophase-II that meant the possibility of gamete formation with chromosome number 4x. Over 80 % of visually normal diploid pollen was formed. On the ground of the analysis of reductional division it was concluded that this form was suitable as a pollinator in the intervalent crossings.

Plum moth Grapholitha funebrana (Fr.) widely is distributed in the Central non-Chernozem zone of Russia, North of 52° North latitude. In favorable years in the specified area, the pest develops 2 generations, and in bad years gives an incomplete second generation. For the effective control of the number of phytophage it is necessary to conduct insecticide treatments against the first and second generation.

In the article the main directions of minimization of tillage in the potatoes cultivation are considered. The possibility of carrying out resource-saving basic tillage for potatoes is established: small on 10-12 cm or on deep moldboard with blade cultivator at 25-27 cm by plows with stands SibIME or with stands «Paraplu» on 28-30. Using instruments with active working bodies (such as mills) provide better cutting the soil, improving structural composition of the soil, increasing the yield of potatoes. Possibility of reducing the number of inter-row potato treatments against the background of application of herbicides (prometryn, citrine, zenkor) has been proven.

The regulation of morphogenesis in culture of isolated tissues depended on the genotypic characteristics of plants and on the content in the nutrient medium in a certain ratio of growth regulators - auxin and cytokinin. The most efficient induction of morphogenesis from leaf explants of apple, pear, raspberry and black currant was held on the medium containing BAP and IBA in the ratio of 20:1. The frequency of shoots formation reached 20-50%. It was not possible to induce formation of adventitious structures in gooseberries.

Modern landscape design allows using various types of perennial herbaceous plants in planting and creating flower gardens with a long period of decorativeness. On the example of representatives of the family Asteraseae, a scale was developed for determining the degree of plant ornamentality and location in landscape compositions: when constructing curbs and rocky gardens - Hieracium aurantiacum , when creating rockeries - Eriophyllum lanatum , as visual accents on lawns and multi-tiered beds - Centaurea macrocephala . The results of the research represent the prospects of using perennial herbaceous plants in landscape design in the climatic conditions of the Southern Urals (on the example of the Orenburg region).

The resistance of strawberry varieties to early winter frosts was studied in the laboratory conditions. It was determined that the temperature lowering till -15°C did not cause irreversible damages of strawberry varieties. In early December the temperature lowering till-20°C intensified the damages of strawberries varieties ‘Solovushka’ and ‘Sara’ to 3 rating, ‘Alba’ to 4.5 rating and ‘Marmolada’ to 4.2 rating. During the winter it was determined that the strawberry reaction was intensified on the thaw by the end of the winter period. As a result of the experiment it was revealed the strawberry varieties ‘Solovushka’ and ‘Sara’ with the greatest level of frost resistance.

Bryansk region has a sufficient resource base and is an area of commercial vegetable production, but, nevertheless, vegetable processing industry’s share in the food industry decreases from year to year. Financial problems in the area of economic reforms reduced the output of canned fruits and vegetables. It is obvious that this problem has, along with pronounced industrial and infrastructural aspect. In this regard the need arose to create a public distribution patterns, allowing you to quickly move product from manufacturer to consumer with minimum loss of quantity and quality.

As a result of studying the influence of rootstock and crown type the value of the yield of some apple varieties it is found that the use of dwarf rootstock M9 compared with the vigorous and is more cost-effective (provides an increase in the yield per unit area of more than 50 %, contributes to obtaining the earlier harvests, greater efficiency of all maintenance for the garden). Application forming of palmetto significantly increases the number of trees per hectare, which gives higher yields compared to the sparsely-tier by more than 80 %.

Abstract
The results of studies of rooting of raspberry varieties directly in the soil substrate, bypassing the stage of rooting in vitro are presented. The rooting of micro plants in conditions ex vitro depends both on the genotype and concentration of IBA and the duration of its effect. For the varieties Yarkaya, Shahrazada, Kumberlend landing of microshoots in moist soil substrate is effective without processing, and for the varieties Zolotaya osen and Sulamif it is necessary treatment of the basal partof microshoots by water solution of IBA at a concentration of 80 mg/l during 20 minutes.
